In Transcarpathia, the Baloga clan, which lost its mandates, is being subjected to nightmare searches
In Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, Transcarpathian region, numerous searches are being carried out on various people, including former people’s deputies from the family of an influential local politician and businessman Viktor Baloga, who barely retained his mandate as a people’s deputy in the last elections, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Human rights activist Roman Kelemen reported this on Facebook.
“In Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, numerous searches are being carried out at various people, the police have been put in a heightened security regime. In Khust, they even besieged the Khust City Council and let everyone into the building with their IDs (others say they took someone as a bribe). Searches are being carried out even at the homes of the Balogh brothers and his friends; the loss of his deputy mandate immediately made itself felt,” Kelemen wrote.
According to him, special forces arrived in Transcarpathia by plane and helicopter. “600 special forces are involved in the operation,” he added.
Law enforcement agencies confirmed the conduct of searches in Transcarpathia.
