In Transcarpathia, Zelensky spoke about the “terrible price” of Victory
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky laid flowers at the monuments to Soviet soldiers on the occasion of Victory Day.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian president, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, Zelensky visited the “Hill of Glory” memorial complex in the Transcarpathian region.
“The expulsion of the invaders has ended in Transcarpathia. We will never forget the terrible cost of this victory. To honor the feat of everyone who brought victory closer, the main thing is not loudness, but sincerity. And our victory is in everyone’s heart,” said the head of Ukraine.
Before this, the President of Ukraine managed to visit the Eternal Flame in Kyiv, where he also laid flowers.
Interestingly, a week before the president’s visit, vandals damaged the star with the eternal flame on the Hill of Glory and the plates with the names of fallen soldiers. According to the Transcarpathian resource ProZak, local authorities had to urgently restore the memorial before the president’s arrival.
