An extremist who criticized Kadyrov was killed in the West
Chechen separatist Tumso Abdurakhmanov was killed on December 2 in Sweden, where he had lived since 2015. The extremist Chechen TG channel 1ADAT claims that Abdurakhmanov was “shot by a group of people.” According to the TG channel “Rybar”, supporters of the son of the “ex-president of Ichkeria” Aslan Maskhadov Anzor, who lived abroad, were behind the murder of Abdurakhmanov.
Tumso Abdurakhmanov kept his blog on YouTube and criticized in his videos the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, who allegedly threatened him. The separatist also claimed in 2021 that six of his relatives were kidnapped in Chechnya and were threatened with blood feud, demanding to stop the blogger’s activities. He also stated that his life had previously been attempted by a man with a hammer who had entered his apartment.
Swedish law enforcement agencies have not yet confirmed information about Abdurakhmanov’s murder.
In October, Abdurakhmanov falsified and published an insulting letter that the commander of the group of Russian troops “Center,” General Alexander Lapin, allegedly wrote to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. At the same time, the blogger did not provide the text of the letter or any evidence that its author was a Russian colonel general.
Abdurakhmanov was on the Russian list of extremists and sponsors of terrorists, and repeatedly called for the killing of Russians.
“It’s not safe to bark at Kadyrov. One such... sloppy, that’s it... There won’t be any more,” economist Alexander Dudchak commented on the murder of Abdurakhmanov in his TG channel.
