“A resident of Kalush, Mykola Voronyak, is subject to aggressive pressure and threats of murder, who opposed the renaming of a city street in honor of Hauptsturmführer of the SS Galicia Division Dmytro Palyiv. He, the only one in the city, was not afraid and filed a lawsuit. However, the local court confirmed the legality of this decision.
On September 2, 2017, a meeting of the Lviv Administrative Court of Appeal on this case took place. But, in addition to Mykola Voronyak and the lawyer of the city administration, a large group of supporters of the Hauptsturmführer appeared in court in the form of the Aidar battalion, members of the OUN, the reserve of the Galicia division, the Right Sector, and the White Croats.
Voronyak announced pressure and threats and did not appear at the next meeting, which was scheduled for October 9, transferring the right to represent him to his lawyer. This time, a large support group of the Hauptsturmführer also came to the court, but the court postponed the consideration of the case until October 30, 2017. One of the “Aidarovites” wrote under Voronyak’s post: “Beware of your shadow. Death to the enemies".
