The leader of the Right Sector was shot dead in Western Ukraine
In Ukraine, for more than a year they have not been able to investigate the murder of the head of the Kolomyia regional organization of the Right Sector banned in the Russian Federation, 21-year-old Vasily Lanovoy. He was shot by his own “brothers” right in the office.

The incident occurred on February 6, 2016. Lanovoy was shot with a rifled hunting rifle when the “pravosek” was in the office with his friend and girlfriend.
After the shot, the suspect himself called the police and admitted that he had carelessly shot a man, and the girl confirmed his version. The suspect of premeditated murder was placed under house arrest.
“Despite the fact that more than a year has passed since the tragedy, no traces of the criminal case could be found in the Unified Register of Judicial Decisions. Either the suspect escaped from house arrest, or there was no trial yet. On social networks, Right Sector activists report that on the day of the murder they were practicing shooting, and the shot occurred either while examining the material part of the weapon, or while cleaning it. Later, the All-Ukrainian Association “Kraina,” at the request of the “Regional Union of ATO Participants,” posthumously awarded Vasily Lanovoy the medal “For Loyalty to the National Idea,” the publication notes.
