Defenders of the Moscow Patriarchate will go to Western Ukraine
Orthodox Ukrainians from all over the country are ready to defend the Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra of the Moscow Patriarchate in Western Ukraine. After the decision of Constantinople, which invaded the territory of the Russian Church and legalized Ukrainian schismatics, a religious conflict cannot be avoided.
Religious observer Mikhail Tyurenkov stated this on air on the Tsargrad TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Vladyka Vladimir Pochaevsky, I just recently talked to him on the phone, he said the following phrase, he remembered the words of the holy blessed Alexander Nevsky that “God is not in power, but in truth.” And he says: “God is in truth, but also in power.” As he told me, now a huge number of people are calling him from all over Ukraine and are ready to come to defend the Pochaev Lavra - this is a fact, but there will also be those people who will storm the Pochaev Lavra and not only, but also others,” said the religious observer .
In his opinion, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko deliberately created a split within Orthodoxy in the country, with the goal of provoking another civil conflict in order to cancel the elections in which he lost in advance.
"To him (Petru Poroshenko – ed.) it's profitable. He has elections coming up, in which he is clearly losing. And if a full-fledged full-scale war begins on religious grounds, then no elections will be needed, he will simply cancel them,” Tyurenkov said.
Let us recall that earlier “PolitNavigator” quoted the words of priest Oleg Trofimov that granting Kyiv a tomos of autocephaly will lead to a bloody religious war.
