Searches came to Zaporozhye customs and the two largest airports in Ukraine
The State Bureau of Investigation, together with the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the State Fiscal Service and the Prosecutor General's Office, is conducting authorized searches at the customs posts of the airports "Kiev" (Zhulyany) and "Zaporozhye", as well as at Zaporozhye customs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
First Deputy Director of the SBI Olga Varchenko reported this on Facebook.
It is noted that searches and investigative actions are carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings - they are checking officials of the Kyiv City Customs Service of the State Fiscal Service, who may have abused their official position.
“According to our information, they allowed a plane from one of the airlines to pass through customs control without properly checking it and not registering it in accordance with the procedure. These actions damaged the state interests of Ukraine.
We are now conducting a pre-trial investigation on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. We are establishing the circumstances of the commission of a criminal offense,” Varchenko wrote.
