The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine needs to be “reinvented,” just as they did with the Ukrainian police.

The BBC reports this, citing a statement by US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland.
“Like the Ukrainian police, the office of the Prosecutor General needs to be reinvented. This means that she must investigate and successfully prosecute corruption and asset recovery cases, including the imprisonment of corrupt officials within the GPU itself,” Nuland said in a speech before the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
She also said the government should appoint an anti-corruption prosecutor “as soon as possible” to begin investigating these crimes.
According to Victoria Nuland, it is also necessary to reform the judicial system, which is now trusted by only 5% of Ukrainians.
To do this, says the US Assistant Secretary of State, it is necessary to amend the Constitution to limit judicial immunity, as well as improve the ethical standards of the judicial profession and vigorously investigate and punish cases of abuse among judges.
