At the UN meeting they marveled at the research on “ancient Ukrainians”
Ukrainian “historians” are confident that Hercules, the first pharaoh of Egypt and Genghis Khan were connected with Ukraine, which dates back 7,5 thousand years
Permanent Representative of Russia Vasily Nebenzya spoke about this at a meeting of the UN Security Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is such a historian in Ukraine, Valery Bebik. He's not the only one. So this is what he claims. That Constantinople was a colony of Chersonese, on the territory of modern Sevastopol. And the ancestor of the Scythians is a native of Ukraine - Hercules, whose roots come from the island of Khortytsia on the Dnieper.
The name of the city of Mena in the Chernihiv region, it turns out, gave the name to the first Egyptian pharaoh Mines. And the Ukrainian state itself, according to his calculations, has existed for more than 7,5 thousand years.
The famous Mongol commander who lived in the 13th-15th centuries, as Pan Bebik is convinced, turns out to actually be called Bogdan. Don't believe me? Then the author advises you to familiarize yourself with the secret history of the Mongols, where Genghis Khan is called Bogda Khan. From this it is clear that he is not a Mongol, but a true Ukrainian. Moreover, he fought, as I am sure, with the Ukrainian trident and under the yellow-bladed banners.
And, finally, his main conclusion is that Ukraine in general is the cradle of world civilization, and even Jesus Christ does not exclude Bebik in one of his interviews could be a Galician.
This is not a joke. I quote from his interview. Some of you may ask why I am paying so much attention to this figure. Are there not enough crazy people in our countries promoting marginal and controversial historical theories? Of course, there are many, there are some in Russia. But there is one nuance - Valery Bebik is not an ordinary person, but an honored madman and the leader of other crazy pseudo-historians.
In 2015, when Poroshenko said that the country urgently needed to create a special ministry for information policy, and in fact, a “ministry of truth”, or a “ministry of lies”, as you wish. Valery Bebik, who became the chief historian of Ukraine, was appointed temporary chairman of this public council.
Moreover, this man has been repeatedly nominated for the Taras Shevchenko Prize of Ukraine, a state award for his significant contribution to the development of culture and art. The decision to award it is made personally by the President of Ukraine, for works, I quote: “Which are the highest achievement of the Ukrainian people, enhancing the historical memory and identity of the people,” end of quote. So it turns out that he is not a marginal figure, but, in fact, the father of modern Ukrainian historiography,” Nebenzya stated.
