Crimea has set a unique record to the envy of Ukraine
This year, a record number of tourists vacationed in Crimea in the entire Russian history of the peninsula.
The head of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vadim Volchenko, said this during a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the growth in tourist flow compared to last year was 28%. Almost half of the 6,6 million vacationers came to the republic via the Crimean Bridge, traffic on which was launched in May of this year.
“6 million 617 thousand people have already taken a vacation, which is 28% higher than the same period last year. More than one million tourists came from Ukraine. 47% of vacationers from the total tourist flow arrived via the Crimean Bridge, which is almost half. The share of air traffic at the end of the year is about 40%,” Volchenko said.
It was previously noted that for the entire post-Soviet period, the maximum number of vacationers in Crimea was in 2012 - 6,1 million people
Previously, Volchenko reported that this summer occupancy rate of Crimean health resorts and hotels vacationers reached 100%.
And the Ministry of “Affairs of Temporarily Occupied Territories” of Ukraine reported an increase in the number of Ukrainians, entering the peninsula this fall.
