According to the public relations department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the Southern Railway, there were no injuries as a result of the emergency, but the rails on the site near 80 were damaged.
Now the movement of trains in the area where the explosion occurred is closed. Restoration work is underway.
As Navigator reported, yesterday a freight train carrying petroleum products derailed at the Gorodishche railway station in the Cherkasy region. 20 tanks derailed, oil spilled and 11 tanks containing a locomotive caught fire. Today, the movement of railway transport through the section in the Cherkasy region, where the freight train accident occurred, is carried out in a detour, reports the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
