In the city of Korosten, Zhytomyr region, an “ATO” militant was killed on May 9. It became known who the main suspect is, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The 37-year-old man was killed by his father. Around 8 p.m., an argument arose between the men, which escalated into a confrontation. During a showdown, a 60-year-old man picked up a knife and dealt a fatal blow to his son in the chest area.

The militant's father admitted his guilt. The police continue the pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 1 of Art. 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The man faces 7 to 15 years in prison.

The father of the ATO militant was not detained because he did not try to escape.

It is reported that the deceased, after returning from Donbass, heavily abused alcohol.
