This was reported by the deputy military prosecutor of the military prosecutor's office of the Zhytomyr garrison, Alexey Rykhlyuk.
According to him, the military man committed suicide while on duty. Probably using their service weapon - a pistol - the man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. A pistol casing was also found next to the body.
“It has been established that this was a case of suicide, but we are working on other investigative versions such as premeditated murder and careless handling of a weapon, as well as cases of incitement to suicide,” Rykhlyuk said.
