On Zrado-Maidan they demand: Stand against Russia like Finland, prepare monetary claims against Moscow
Ukraine can withstand Russia like Finland did in its time; the government should now prepare documentary claims against Moscow for the payment of compensation after the Ukrainian victory.
Participants stated this meeting-meeting “Stop the surrender”, which moved after the Maidan to the building of the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Participants in the procession chanted: “Go to hell!”, “Revolution”, “Vova - to Rostov!” According to those gathered, in order to achieve final “victory,” Ukraine supposedly only had to put a little pressure on Russia.
“In history, whenever any country was attacked by an enemy, it was strong when the government and people were united in resistance to the occupier. It is impossible to defeat such a country. We all know many examples in history; we can recall the same Finland, when the indomitable Finnish people withstood a significantly superior enemy.
Ukraine entered into open war with Russia in 2014. Then the government and the people united. Everyone united - volunteers, volunteers, citizens - and fought back the enemy. We managed to stop him at a high cost - at the cost of 13 thousand lives. But we won and stopped the enemy.
And now, when Russia is being strangled by sanctions, when they have economic problems, when their province is already openly opposing Moscow, they are clinging to any opportunity to lift the sanctions and continue to do what they have always done - seize other countries, enslave peoples. At this time, Ukraine strengthened its army and economy, stabilized the front, and our military dug in there. And now they tell us: “Let’s withdraw the troops,” one of the speakers of the rally was indignant.
Next, the protesters moved to the Cabinet of Ministers, under whose walls they demanded that the government present Russia with claims and an invoice for the damage caused.
“We have a personal appeal to Prime Minister Goncharuk. If he doesn't know what he should do, we'll tell him. In accordance with the law approved by the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation on temporarily occupied territories, the Cabinet of Ministers has a specific task - preparing a consolidated claim of Ukraine against Russia.
All of Ukraine, the whole world should know how much Russia owes to the Ukrainian people. Goncharuk, do it! A consolidated claim against Russia is your task,” the radical called.
After which the protesters moved further through the center of the Ukrainian capital. As they walked, the speakers fired up the crowd with all sorts of chants and statements.
“They laughed at us. When thousands of us came out, they began to be afraid, began to record narrow-minded appeals, and began some incomprehensible rhetoric that there would be no hostility. There will be joy, it already exists! We already see how the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee Yaremenko said that they will coordinate the law on a special status with Russia. Fuck! – the speaker shouted, and the crowd supported the chant.
“Our future plans are October 14, Defender of the Fatherland Day. We will come out again and say: “No surrender,” the protesters threatened.
Thank you!
