EU observers will make sure that there are no “terrorists” in Donetsk
One of the tasks of tomorrow’s primaries in the DPR is to demonstrate to observers arriving from Europe that the information disseminated by Ukraine about “terrorists” running with machine guns through the streets of Donetsk is a lie.
Vladislav Berdichevsky, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR, told PolitNavigator about this.

“I believe that the preparation for the primaries was quite successful. The Temporary Election Commission worked well; many activists were involved; a lot of foreign observers came. Everything is fine, everything is quiet. Tomorrow we will be able to make sure that we are able to conduct preliminary voting, elections, and any other democratic procedures.
The primaries will be held in accordance with all ODIHR standards (Bureau for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights - approx. author) OSCE.
With the help of primaries, we will decide on the people who will be nominated as candidates in the elections. This is a very important part of the democratic process.
Observers from several countries came to us. There are French, Italians, Finns, Czechs. They all represent different political forces. Also among the observers is Giulietto Chiesa, the famous Italian journalist. The presence of foreigners in this process is very important. We show the entire world community that our country is calm and safe, that we do not have any terrorists, there are no armed people running through the streets, and that we can hold elections at any level,” explains the parliamentarian.
