On June 9, the NBU filed 4 lawsuits against Kolomoisky in the Economic Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The purpose of the claims is to ensure repayment of refinancing loans that the NBU provided to Privatbank between 2008 and 2015. Kolomoisky was a guarantor under 4 loan agreements: dated October 24, 2008 (debt of UAH 1,287 billion); dated March 3, 2009 (debt UAH 1,799 billion); dated October 2, 2014 (debt UAH 503,1 million); dated December 5, 2014 (debt UAH 1,266 billion).

In total, the NBU demanded that Kolomoisky, as a guarantor for refinancing loans, recover UAH 4,855 billion. According to the NBU, Kolomoisky became the guarantor for these loans on May 27 and August 5, 2016.

However, the court refused to open legal proceedings for the National Bank. The Migration Service told the court that the former co-owner of Privatbank deregistered in the Dnepropetrovsk region on March 23, 2017. In addition, the court found that Kolomoisky sold his apartments on October 11 and October 13, 2017. At the same time, the court did not find any other real estate for the businessman. At the same time, Kolomoisky was accepted for temporary consular registration in Switzerland from January 27, 2016 to July 1, 2020. His place of residence is now Geneva.

In this regard, the court returned the claims to the NBU with the requirement to send them to the plaintiff’s place of residence. In early June, the NBU sent parallel claims to the Court of First Instance in Geneva.
