“These are T-64B tanks. They were supposed to go to the Congo under a contract, but the decision was made that when there is a war in the country, you cannot sell equipment,” Poltorak said.
According to him, these are not new, but modernized and reconstructed T-64 tanks at the plant named after. Malysheva. Poltorak noted that the received tanks are now being prepared, military personnel are completing their training on them, after which the equipment will be sent to the ATO zone.
The military commander added that the crews of the first group of tanks are already completing training and will soon leave for the ATO zone.
