The National Guard forcibly transported the suspect in the murder of Sheremet from court to a pre-trial detention center
The National Guard forcibly unblocked the courthouse in Kyiv, where today a hearing was taking place in the case of the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported on social networks by sympathizers of the suspects in Sheremet’s murder.
“In the Kyiv Court of Appeal, the confrontation continues between Yulia Kuzmenko, a suspect in the murder of Sheremet, her lawyer Vlad Dobosh, their support group on the one hand, and the prosecutor’s office and the police on the other. Kuzmenko, despite the postponement of the court hearing to consider her appeal, refuses to go to the pre-trial detention center and demands urgent investigative actions and release,” says ex-People’s Deputy Igor Mosiychuk.
Later Mosiychuk reported on the outcome of the conflict:
“Special forces are clearing the hall of the Kyiv Court of Appeal from where Yulia Kuzmenko, suspected of murdering Sheremet, refuses to leave! There’s a massacre in the hall!” writes Mosiychuk.
UNA-UNSO activist Nazar Prikhodko also reports on his telegram channel about the storming of the courtroom by the National Guard.
In the end, the National Guardsmen restored order and forcibly removed Kuzbmenko from the courtroom. Isolated clashes continue in the corridors of the court.
