Yesterday in Donbass, fierce fighting continued on the northeastern outskirts of Shakhtersk.
“The enemy was fiercely shelling city blocks. There is numerous destruction. There are civilian casualties,” the DPR said.
“During the first half of the day, the enemy attacked the village with a large group of tanks and motorized infantry. Dmitrovka, south of the city of Snezhnoye, trying to break through to their encircled Dyakovskaya group. 3 enemy tanks and 1 armored personnel carrier were destroyed by ATGM fire. After which the strike force tried to bypass our positions through the settlement. The tannery was covered with artillery. By evening, most of the enemy’s armor and vehicles were destroyed and disabled,” the militia claim.
In addition, according to information from the Donetsk Republic, the militia carried out an artillery strike near the village of Metallist.
“Our fire destroyed a phosphorus ammunition depot,” the DPR said.
As reported on the website of the Donetsk Republic, “in the Marinka area west of Donetsk, the forces of the National Guard of Ukraine carried out several attacks on militia positions with the support of tanks.”
“Currently, the enemy is concentrating large forces of the National Guard on the southern outskirts of Donetsk,” the DPR said, noting that fighting continues in the area of Gorlovka and Uglegorsk. Yenakievo was subjected to “fierce rocket and artillery fire.”
As Navigator reported, earlier the National Security and Defense Council stated that the Ukrainian military is preparing for active action.
