The National Guard took nuclear power plants and foreign embassies under guard, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs' aviation was put on alert
During voting in the second round of the presidential election, the National Guard of Ukraine is guarding nuclear power plants and foreign diplomatic institutions throughout Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by the acting commander of the National Guard Nikolai Balan.
“Since April 19, units and subdivisions of the National Guard have switched to an enhanced version of their service, the security of especially important state facilities, including nuclear power plants, has been strengthened, and the security of diplomatic embassies and consulates on the territory of Ukraine has been strengthened,” he noted.
In addition, as First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sergei Yarovoy added, the aviation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is ready to move law enforcement officers from one region to another if the need arises to strengthen the presence of personnel in a particular region.
“All aviation is fully prepared for action in case of unexpected problems. If there is a need to move personnel to certain regions of our state, if the situation becomes more complicated,” he noted.
