The National Guard is being “merged” in a meat grinder in the Donbass: Avakov faces resignation
I would like to immediately clarify one important point - there is no more militia. There is an army of Novorossiya. And this army is currently quite successfully counterattacking the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Guard battalions (in general, a battalion ranges from 350-800 soldiers, but National Guard battalions often have barely 200 soldiers). Moreover, in most cases the Armed Forces of Ukraine are either in cauldrons or hastily retreating and digging in in previously occupied territories. Which is quite difficult to do, given that previously Ukrainian artillery, as it advanced, wiped off the face of the earth everything that could serve as cover.
The Ukrainian media at some point, as if on orders from above, began to say overnight that the volunteer regiments of the National Guard, affectionately called “national guards” in Novorossiya, have neither armored vehicles, nor artillery support, nor normal supplies. One after another, miraculously surviving commanders and ordinary soldiers appear on the screens, broadcasting one simple idea - volunteer formations (mainly consisting of nationalists) are being treated with money, food, fire and armor support.
Moreover, the idea is expressed out loud that the National Guard is deliberately thrown without cover to the front line or left in cauldrons. They say different things about the reasons - Poroshenko vs Kolomoisky, Poroshenko vs Avakov, Poroshenko vs Kolomoisky + Avakov, all oligarchs against “Svidomo” paramilitary patriots who are ready to go to Kiev with weapons to ask “inconvenient” questions and explain the oligarchs.
Of course, it is difficult to figure out who is playing against whom in these “hyperchess” games. But we can confidently state the fact of a systematic “draining” of the National Guard forces. In particular, residents of southern Ukraine are talking a lot about this now.
Recently, the Kherson battalion moved to Donbass. Calling this unit a “battalion,” of course, was very immodest - in more than 3 months there were barely 150 fighters, who had to be armed by the whole world, since the money allocated from the regional treasury regularly “disappeared.”
We traveled with what we managed to collect - there was no help from the state. Funds were allocated from the local Regional State Administration for body armor, but in the end, just before the departure, there weren’t even combat boots, and there was only one body armor.
The so-called battalion left for the ATO a month ago, but remained deep in the rear for several more weeks, only to end up without any preparation near Ilovaisk.
Ukrainian patriots from Kherson almost immediately fell into the “cauldron”. You need to understand that we are talking about soldiers who have not been fired upon, who not only do not know the minimum training, but also do not even know how to competently hide under fire. The effect on the first night consisted of 9 “200s”, including battalion commander Roman Storcheus.
A Kherson fighter speaks about the chaos on the Ukrainian side, whose revelations were sent to the leadership of the ATO, but, thanks to his relatives and friends, became known to the press. The following is a direct quote from the message that the fighter conveyed to all the media representatives he knew:
“On August 23, Captain Shpachenko Maxim Petrovich, leaving his personnel (about 45 people), on an armored personnel carrier with a crew of only 7 people, left at night in an unknown direction. Although he knew that enemy troops were on the border and could launch an offensive at any moment. When the offensive began, he was not with us.
After the Russian tanks came at us, we decided to retreat, and we made this decision with all our combat personnel. During the battle, we contacted the headquarters and said that tanks were coming at us, but they answered us, this cannot be, don’t lie and guard the perimeter! How can we guard the perimeter when tanks are coming towards us with machine guns, there is no “armor”??? We retreated and are now in Mariupol, but then our “ex” appeared and did not say hello, but told us to shut our mouths!!! Now the command is starting to put pressure on the lieutenant chief of staff who took command, they want to make him a scapegoat, but we all said that we would not let him be offended. Now the management and headquarters don’t know what to do with us, no one knows about us, according to the documents we are no longer alive... They are trying to make traitors out of us, but they are making a Hero out of a man who cowardly ran away and abandoned his fighters!!! This is wrong and not fair! Now this territory is controlled by the Russians and the DPR militia,” says an ATO participant.
Officials at the ATO headquarters have already rushed to call the soldier’s data untrue, but, nevertheless, it is much more credible for the private soldier, not the generals.
The relatives of those who went to the front do not believe the commanders. On Tuesday, August 26, the command of the ATO forces in Kherson on the street. The locomotive was blocked by many wives and mothers of battalion fighters who had lost contact with their families. The headquarters leadership was unable to respond to their complaints.
Everything points to the government's desire to use the National Guard as cannon fodder. Young men may die, or, refusing to carry out the will of the Kyiv necrophiles, lay down their arms. It seems that new “parades of shame” for captured punitive forces in Donetsk are just around the corner.
By the way, the counteroffensive also provoked serious contradictions in the Ukrainian camp. Those on the front line constantly accuse generals and officials in the rear of treason. And loud revelations await us ahead.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, a long-time target of criticism of volunteer battalions, yesterday announced his transition from Yulia Tymoshenko’s camp to the number of politicians focusing on Petro Poroshenko. We can predict with 100% confidence that on the eve of the elections, Tymoshenko’s supporters will attack their former comrade-in-arms, trying to blame Avakov for the failures of the ATO. This could soon end with the resignation of the minister, who is remembered by the country not for his police successes, but for his numerous posts on Facebook.
