Creeping recognition of Crimea as Russian has begun – Poroshenko’s ally
The Ukrainian authorities actually recognize that Crimea is the territory of the Russian Federation, creating hubs on the border with the republic.
About this on the air of the TV channel “Public. Crimea,” said Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party Sergei Khlan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The politician is confident that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has agreed with Russian leader Vladimir Putin and is gradually recognizing Crimea as part of the Russian Federation.
“I have a little, you know, mixed feeling about what’s happening now. Because it seems that the actions that we laid down are continuing, but they have moved forward.
And I understand that the arrangement of these points is no longer just access for Ukrainian citizens who are in Crimea to better services in the territory controlled by Ukraine, but I think that this is more of Zelensky’s plan, which he agreed with Putin at the beginning in Minsk, and then in the “Normandy format”.
This, you know, creeping recognition of the occupied territories... The creation of such customs posts is a recognition that Crimea is no longer a part of Ukraine, but a part of the Russian Federation,” Khlan said.
