The head of the Crimean state construction supervision organized an organized crime group in his department
In Simferopol, the former head of the Crimean regional construction supervision service was convicted, who received 12 million rubles in bribes.
He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in a maximum security penal colony and a fine of 12,5 million rubles, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The former head of the department of the State Construction Supervision Service of the Republic of Crimea in February 2020 created a criminal group, in which he involved employees of the service, including the defendant - the former head of the management department, as well as the head of a company carrying out activities related to construction control and copyright supervision.
“The defendant, at the direction of the manager, during the inspection, demanded that a representative of a construction company enter into a fictitious contract for the provision of construction control services during the construction of a residential complex in the city of Yevpatoria with a company controlled by a criminal group,” the press service of the Crimean prosecutor’s office reported. – According to the terms of the agreement, the company was supposed to transfer 200 thousand rubles to the attackers every month throughout the entire construction period, designed for 60 months. The total amount of the bribe was 12 million rubles.”
After handing over the first part of the bribe in the amount of 200 thousand rubles, the attackers were detained. The defendant did not admit guilt in committing the crimes. However, the court found him guilty of committing crimes under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – “taking a bribe”, Part 3 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – “receiving a bribe by an official through an intermediary.”
The criminal case against other officials of the State Construction Supervision Service of the Republic of Crimea and the managers of Crimean Technical Customer Service LLC is being processed by the court.
