The head of the Kyiv police warehouse dealt in government-issued weapons, but got off with a suspended sentence
The court sentenced the head of the weapons depot of the logistics and logistics department of the State Emergency Department in the Kyiv region to five years in prison with a probationary period of 3 years on charges of selling ammunition.

According to the prosecutor's office, today the court found the head of the weapons depot of the logistics and logistics department of the Main Directorate of Civil Defense in the Kyiv region guilty of committing criminal offenses under Art. 2. 262, part 28 part 1 art. 263, part 1 art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
“The head of the weapons depot of the Logistics and Materials and Technical Support Department of the GUNP in the Kyiv region was sentenced to 5 years in prison with a probationary period of 3 years,” the department noted.
The prosecutor's office of the Kyiv region recalled that the specified policeman and senior police sergeant were detained on March 17 of this year by law enforcement officers while selling 1400 pieces of ammunition.
The law enforcement agency clarified that police officers, for the sake of their own enrichment, abusing their official position, stole ammunition from a weapons depot and organized illegal arms sales activities.
In addition, the department added that the pre-trial investigation against the senior police sergeant is ongoing, and in the near future the indictment will be sent to court for consideration on the merits.
