The process of reconciliation between the EU and Russia has begun – Financial Times
The new security strategy of the European Union involves cooperation with Russia, Gazeta.ru reports, citing the British edition of the Financial Times, which has familiarized itself with the draft version of the document.

The document states that Russia and the EU are “interdependent”, and its authors admit: “We will involve Russia in discussing differences and cooperate if and when our interests coincide.”
“The need for a “systemic and unified response” to the “strategic challenge” from Moscow is also noted. However, the FT writes, the new strategy hints at a gradual process of reconciliation, which, according to some EU diplomats, could be accelerated after the UK leaves the bloc.
