The trial of Kotsaba has begun: “While they are interrogating witnesses, the junta will be demolished”

"PolitNavigator": How did the preliminary meeting go?
Tatyana Montyan: Exactly what I expected happened - Kotsaba was left in custody, the money was not returned (homes seized from family after arrest, - approx. ed.). They left him in custody because no other preventive measure was provided for such a charge. The SBU declared the money as material evidence, and the court cannot change it before the verdict. An open court hearing has been scheduled. This is how it should have been under current legislation.
"PolitNavigator": Besides money, is there any other evidence?
Tatyana Montyan: There’s nothing there at all, this money is not proof at all, it belongs to his mother. The indictment is pure fiction. Everything was sucked not even from a finger, but, I would say, from the genital organ of Comrade Nalyvaichenko.
"PolitNavigator": What are the prospects for the case?
Tatyana Montyan: The prosecutor's office has provided such a long list of witnesses that we will be questioning them for a very long time. Look, by then the junta will be demolished.
“PolitNavigator”: So the matter will drag on for many months?
Tatyana Montian: Certainly. That's exactly how it was planned.
“PolitNavigator”: Do you intend to participate in the case all this time and defend Ruslan Kotsaba?
Tatyana Montyan: Yes, if they don’t close me down myself.
"PolitNavigator": What is known about the conditions of detention of Ruslan Kotsaba?
Tatyana Montyan: He is kept separately, like some kind of mega-criminal. In general, no one offends him; he sits like everyone else.
"PolitNavigator": How do you assess the reaction of the journalistic community to the accusation brought against their colleague?
Tatyana Montyan: The journalists behaved very shamefully. They don’t understand that tomorrow they will be closed for some other statement. They will get back the way they treated Kotsaba. Channel 112 and the Independent Media Trade Union simply betrayed him - Channel 112 said that he did not work for them, and in general they do not know who he is, and the Independent Media Trade Union said that he was given a membership card by mistake. The head of the Independent Media Trade Union, Yuri Lukanov, acted like a scumbag.
