“The outbreak of riots in the regions can tear Ukraine apart” - SBU officer
The protests of farmers, which swept across Ukraine, if escalated, could lead to the collapse of the country.
Former SBU officer and conflict specialist Vladimir Mulyk stated this on News-Front, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There have already been local food riots in three regions: in Chernivtsi, a little in Vinnitsa - and now the Kherson region. Western Ukraine - Rivne region, Volyn, is also ripening to local riots. I think that no one is in charge of this, but when things reach the boiling point, a landing party of “crowbars”, that is, leaders of public opinion, will be dropped.
They will be bought, they will be sold, and we know this, don’t even go to a fortune teller. Attempts to break Ukraine apart will be considered. And Russia will work in this vein,” says the SBU officer.
He does not rule out that if the economic situation worsens, regional elites may run to the West for help, for example, to the Poles and Romanians.
“The Europeans will take everything we have,” he warns.
Let us remind you that in the Kherson region more than 300 farmers held a rally to protest against the closure of the market and blocked the international highway. Before this, farmers in the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions said that those who grew vegetables in greenhouses would have to throw away tons of them.
