“Europe is beginning to fall, but Russia has survived,” an epiphany on the Verkhovna Rada TV channel
Ukraine's hopes for Western help were in vain. Russia has resisted the yoke of sanctions, but the European Union, on the contrary, has begun to burst at the seams. The new American President Donald Trump can easily hand over Ukraine in a bargaining session with Vladimir Putin.
This forecast was voiced by Ukrainian international political scientist Grigory Perepelitsa on the air of the parliamentary TV channel “Rada”.

“The authorities hoped that a new US president would come, he would strengthen sanctions, give us money, weapons, we would introduce America into the negotiation process, and Russia - sooner or later - would fall under the influence of sanctions.
It turns out that Europe, and not Russia, is beginning to fall as a result of such a policy, because the Russian electorate is mobilized... Russian society turned out to be monolithic, and the European Union - the processes of corrosion and disintegration began. And we know what will happen if Le Pen comes to France - perhaps France will also raise the issue of leaving the EU, the eurozone and NATO. And then Europe will fall apart,” Perepelitsa said.
“In 2017, trends will appear that, on the contrary, make the international community threatening to Ukraine, and international instruments ineffective,” stated the Ukrainian expert.
“For Trump, Ukraine means little. It is seen primarily as a problem, not an achievement. He can easily trade the interests of Ukraine for the sake of his global interests,” Perepelitsa shared his fears.
