Preparations begin for the sale of Ukrainian nuclear power plants to the West
The West is closing its nuclear power plants, but can purchase nuclear power plants built in Ukraine. In any case, information preparation for this is already beginning in the Ukrainian media.
The state enterprise Energoatom, which operates the nuclear power plant, must be sold at an open auction to one of the Western energy companies or put into an IPO and wait on the stock exchange in Poland. Deputy editor of NV Business Oleg Gavrish said this in a conversation during the program “Persha Shpalta” (First National TV Channel), the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
Energoatom may be privatized in the future. But how it is privatized is a big question. If this is a privatization like now, which is carried out for a specific seller, then, of course, not. We need conditions where, on the one hand, there will be an open competition to which many companies will be invited, such as Areva, Westinghouse and others. There must be some road shows, IPOs and negotiations with these companies. Negotiations should be on the topic of whether they are ready in principle to come in and buy. If they are not ready, then this is a risk.
Or then create a company that will be listed on the stock exchange, and definitely not on the Ukrainian stock exchange. Maybe Warsaw, maybe, if possible, London. But London, I think, is unlikely,” said Oleg Gavrish.
The owner of the radio and magazine “NV”, where Gavrish works, is the Czech speculator Tomas Fiala, who is considered the mouthpiece of George Soros in Ukraine.
