According to the lawyer, with these changes, deputies want to ban any criticism in the country, which is even greater restrictions than the “dictatorial laws” adopted under President Viktor Yanukovych on January 16, 2014 during the Euromaidan.

“0931 is planned to be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration on Tuesday, December 17. Who doesn’t know, this is a bill that will significantly limit the constitutional rights of people to the right of speech, the right of thought, freedom of speech, and most importantly, the right to freely express their views and beliefs - this is what the Constitution of Ukraine, Article 34 provides for.

It became known from internal sources that the deputies, nevertheless, will want to vote for the bill in the second reading and in general this bill, which is a muzzle for many public activists, for churches, clergy and any people of free thought, speech and free expression of their views and beliefs about certain ideas.

We are faced with the fact that not a single citizen of Ukraine can under any circumstances declare that this or that ideology is untrue, even harmful... In Ukraine, there has never been such a level of threat to human freedom, freedom of speech, freedom to express one’s views and beliefs. This directly neutralizes Article 34 of the Constitution of Ukraine. Even the dictatorial laws that were adopted during the time of Yanukovych were not as terrible as bill 0931,” Gula said.

The bill was also criticized by the head of the marginal nationalist group OUN, Nikolai Kokhanovsky, who called on his supporters to protest outside the Verkhovna Rada.

“Friends, I invite everyone next Tuesday, December 17.12.2019, 9.00, at 0931 in BP. There, LGBT monsters want to promote the criminal bill 17.12.2019, according to which normal Ukrainians will not be allowed to publicly speak out and criticize these perverted neo-Bolsheviks. I spit on their law and on Father Satan! My law is Holy Scripture, and this Law of God calls me to oppose all lies. Therefore, on December 9.00, XNUMX, at XNUMX am, I will be at BP and I invite everyone! Together, with God’s help, we will win!”
