Nationalists threaten Poroshenko with uprising: Second suspect in Buzina’s murder arrested for 2 months
ATO participant Andrei Medvedko, the second person detained in Kyiv on charges of murdering journalist Oles Buzina, was sent to jail for 2 months during the investigation - just like his accomplice Denis Polishchuk.
The court made the corresponding decision last night, rejecting the petition of deputies Andrei Ilyenko, Igor Lutsenko and Igor Mosiychuk to take Medvedko on bail.
At the trial, interesting details were revealed regarding the evidence mentioned by the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov. So, it turned out that members of the Medvedko family had been under surveillance for several weeks. The DNA analysis, proving that there was a nationalist at the crime scene, was allegedly done by law enforcement officers using chewing gum, which they picked up from Medvedko’s mother.

All this time, a support group of Ukrainian nationalists for those arrested was in court. They have already announced that the regime of Petro Poroshenko has begun repression against right-wing radicals.
A fundraiser has been announced to help Polishchuk and Medvedko.
Svoboda representative Yuri Noevoy promised that for the new government this case will turn into an analogue of the “Pavlichenko case.” “For the first time since the Maidan I heard the word ‘re-vo-lu-tion,’” Noev said about the chants that the support group chanted in court last night.
“Everything is even worse than under Yanyk. The investigator says that Medvedko did not appear for the summons, but there is not a single confirmation about the delivery or dispatch of the summons,” Svoboda lawyer Igor Kizin is indignant.
