Nationalists accused Pogrebinsky and Karasev of political ping-pong
Ukrainian experts who take part in Russian political talk shows are a challenge to the statehood of Ukraine.
Georgiy Filipchuk, a member of the board of the Ukrainian Language Society “Prosvita”, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the nationalist, in 1951, 800 students of Kharkov universities spoke out for teaching in the Ukrainian language, after which 34 students were allegedly shot on the anniversary of the October Revolution.
“Who's talking about this? What kind of discussions are there today, when the so-called Pogrebinskys, Okhrimenkos, Karasevs go there in order to play along in political ping-pong there, in Moscow, with the Kovalevs, Babayans and others. Who today talks about what happened to the Ukrainian nation when it was stateless, and it is fortunate that the Ukrainian statehood present in this space today can no longer give such tragic results as we had recently. But we have other challenges, and we need to respond to them,” Filipchuk said.
