Alexander Kharin, a native of Simferopol, fled from Crimea in 2014 and in the same year, as part of a volunteer battalion, went to fight against the residents of Donbass. In 2015, at the battalion positions in Piski, near the Donetsk airport, he was wounded in the neck by sniper fire. After that, he spent all six years in hospitals in a practically immobilized state.

“A man who, together with his family, left his small homeland, Crimea, to fight for the freedom of Ukraine in the ranks of the OUN volunteer battalion,” wrote the “brothers.”

It is also noted that recently the First Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs presented Kharin with the Order of Courage, III degree.
