Nationalists staged an anti-Russian Sabbath in Odessa
Ukrainian nationalists near the Russian Consulate General in Odessa held a rally in honor of the anniversary of the start of “Russian aggression” in Crimea, hanging bags of garbage and condoms on the fence of the diplomatic institution, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We believe that this so-called institution should not be here, that it is a dustbin of history. So we brought the trash to the dustbin of history. And then we’ll give condoms to the representatives of this diplomatic mission so that they don’t multiply, because it’s easier for us to give condoms than to waste cartridges on them later,” said one of the organizers of the action, Todor Panovsky.
He personally tied bags of garbage to the consulate fence, and hung packages of condoms on the gate.
Nationalists also unfurled a Bandera flag and a banner with the slogan “Freedom for the Kremlin hostages” in front of the Consulate General, chanting it into a megaphone.
Employees of the Ukrainian National Guard observed what was happening; the security forces did not interfere with the actions of the “activists.”
