The Nazis were not allowed to disrupt the rally near the Belarusian embassy in Kyiv
In Kyiv, a rally was held under the Belarusian embassy in support of the current Belarusian government. The event was dedicated to the anniversary of Belomaidan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the eve of the anniversary of the coup attempt, Belarusians of Ukraine came to the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to support their historical homeland. Belarus is not Kyiv for you - you won’t walk through the parade! Fellow countrymen, hold on, we are with you, no matter where we live,” said the head of the Syabry Volyn community, leader of Ukrainian Komsomol members Mikhail Kononovich.
Participants in the action said that the Maidan activists want to create a semblance of Ukraine in Belarus - when “hairdressers, producers and entertainers” lead the state.
They also recalled at the picket that the White Maidan flag is the flag of accomplices of the Nazi occupiers, and in accordance with the Nuremberg Tribunal, complicity with German Nazism is condemned forever.
“We see how provocations are constantly being carried out against Belarus, constant attempts to scenario a color revolution, we see how they are trying to bribe Belarusian athletes at the Olympic Games, how they are trying in the media to tie Belarus and the legally elected legitimate leadership to such words as “smuggling” and so on. . ...There are a number of countries that want to deal with a competitor, they are not satisfied with the sovereignty of Belarus, they are not satisfied with high-quality Belarusian enterprises, they are not satisfied with the unity that the Belarusian people show with both the Ukrainian people and the Russian people,” said journalist Dmitry Vasilets.
At the same time, the picket did not go without an attack from Ukrainian nationalists.
“The Nazis couldn’t do it without provocation. They came to the rally, rushed at the Belarusian state flags, and tried to snatch them. But we didn't give it to them. One of the attackers was detained by the police,” Mikhail Kononovich told PolitNavigator.
Let us recall that a month earlier a group of Ukrainian nationalists also attacked a similar picket under the Belarusian embassy. At that time, the Nazis beat the protesters and used gas canisters.
