Harassment of Russian-speaking teachers in the south-east of Ukraine - a common topic. Unfortunately. At least introduce a regular column “Burn the Witch.” If nationalist activists don’t find anything to complain about, it’s easiest to find fault with historians who universally ridicule “new” chroniclers like Bebik, for whom Tutankhamun is Ukrainian. So, if there is nothing to complain about, then teachers, from schools to universities, can be persecuted for the mere fact that they speak Russian in everyday life.
For example, a teacher returns from work, talks to a colleague in Russian, and some member of the National Corps walks by - and he films the conversation on his phone and posts it on the Internet. And then, depending on your luck, at best, the teacher can get away with dismissal, and at worst, criminal prosecution. But life will be ruined in any case - get out of work, clear the way for the Shvonders raising ballballs.
And all this - don’t forget - against the backdrop of decommunization, the ban on the Russian language, the abolition of Russian classes, total censorship in textbooks, the endless mantra “Russia is an aggressor country.” In conditions where you don’t even say “Great Patriotic War,” otherwise you’ll be thrown out of work in an instant. When honest teachers bring children to the memorials on May 9, and children watch how the Nazis shove portraits of SS men in the faces of veterans. When some fearless TV channel broadcasts, say, “The Dawns Here Are Quiet,” they will immediately come to stone him and burn him. When the last thing that hasn't been decommunized is the red carnation...
And just imagine. The country is in quarantine, schools are closed, and students are studying remotely. And I observe the learning process online every day, since my son is a seventh grade student. Lesson "Foreign Literature". And what do I hear?! And I hear a retelling of Mikhail Sholokhov’s book “The Fate of Man” about the unbroken Russian spirit in the fight against fascism!
After which my son shows me an assignment from the test - specially chosen as a slap in the face of current fascism: “I wanted to show them, the damned one, that although I’m dying of hunger, I’m not going to choke on their handouts, that I have my own, Russian dignity and pride, and that they didn’t turn me into a beast, no matter how hard they tried.”.
Tell me, children, what do you understand by this passage, what work is it from, and what do you think about it? Wow! We're alive!
I look at other tasks, and in them... The poetry of the legendary front-line soldier Yulia Drunina, whose fate served as a prototype for the immortal story and film “The Dawns Here Are Quiet.” And I understand that in this context, the children could not help but read Drunina’s lines that “I could not find a name closer than Russia.” And her love for “Great Rus',” as the poetess wrote, she carried through the entire war and all her work. It was for her sake that she volunteered for the front. She sang in her poems to the same girls and boys who wore greatcoats: “... then my youth is on fire - girls who look like boys are walking through the war.”
And do you know how you left life? She could not bear the collapse of the Union and committed suicide. “...Why am I leaving? In my opinion, such an imperfect creature like me can only remain in this terrible, quarrelsome world created for businessmen with iron elbows only if we have a strong personal backing...”, she wrote in a farewell letter. And in verse it sounded like this:
“...But I’m afraid that you are also powerless.
Therefore I choose death.
As Russia flies,
I can’t, I don’t want to watch! ”
And my child knows this now. As thousands of Ukrainian schoolchildren, from whom they are trying to raise the Hitler Youth, now know this. It won't work. At least not of all of them. The personal initiative of a single teacher, who was retrained from a Russian language teacher to a “teacher abroad,” cannot explain what is happening. This would be too scary for an unprotected and miraculously surviving Ukrainian citizen. In addition, topics and test items for tests are approved by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, and not by local amateur performances. So there is only one conclusion: you haven’t destroyed everything yet, Nazis!
The Nazis have no time for that. I have already mentioned that: after the most shameful failure in local elections, for example, here in the southeast, they “pack their rolls.” And, let’s be honest, they survive with the last of their strength, because no one can afford the heating tariffs they have jacked up, let alone unemployed parasites, even more so. And some, I think, are thinking about how to get involved in the next Kyiv Maidan. But even there, small entrepreneurs ruined by “quarantine measures” are rallying, not revolutionary bandits, so it’s not a fact that they will accept anti-air activists. So it turns out that the nationalists have no time to control the educational process - they burn out the last parquet in the stoves for warming.
Meanwhile, in the midst of all this “splendor”, such a puncture occurs: “I can’t, I don’t want to watch how Russia is going downhill!..”.
You know, a long time ago, back in peaceful life, when I was not involved in politics, but in social affairs, I often made reports from the duty of the psychiatric ambulance team (now this system has been eliminated, and the result is visible to the whole world). And then the orderlies had such a “favorite” patient. Schizophrenic with a bunch of complications - alcoholism and drug addiction. He lived in a village and during periods of excitability he saw evil in buses traveling along the highways. I was sitting in ambush in a field, and when I saw a bus, I rushed at it from a running start - what a wicked thing! As a result, he was all broken and crippled; His old mother spent her whole life collecting titanium plates for his head, and then she died.
And probably the patient too. So it reminds me a lot of Ukraine. Why evil lies precisely in a rushing bus or in a story, especially a victorious and legendary one, is difficult to understand... That’s why this schizophrenic never defeated the buses.
Just like cave nationalism will not defeat common sense and the Russian spirit. Even now, even under occupation.
