Who would have thought that Kharkov judges would speak out against lawlessness. Not politicians, not the parliamentary corps, but representatives of the third power.

What's surprising here? The City Council, for example, posted security after there were repeated attempts to vandalize its meeting room, and an ironic remark from Mayor Gennady Kernes was enough to silence the overly disgruntled political exhibitionists from the Samopomich faction. The regional council is bending so much that it has turned into a nursery for decorative breed dogs under the regional state administration. Public organizations try not to go beyond the scope of their statutory activities and their activists are afraid to talk about sensitive topics in front of each other. After all, they know that someone will “knock” anyway. If not to the SBU, then to the Kyiv authorities. Many ordinary people try to live as if nothing is happening. Like, the Nazis are somewhere and they don’t come face to face with them, they don’t understand the camouflage chevrons.

And only the judges now find themselves in Kharkov in real, easily calculable danger. They see real Nazis alive and read illegal “valuable instructions” released from the prosecutor’s office.

Judge of the Court of Appeal of the Kharkov Region Nikolai Savenko appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office with a statement about threats after the decision to drop some of the charges against Yuri Apukhtin. According to the judge, during the announcement of the verdict, “unknown” young people threatened him with murder and violence, which is confirmed by the audio recording of the court hearing. He reminds Lutsenko (he found someone to talk about this!) that influencing court officials is prohibited by the constitution and laws of Ukraine, and therefore asks this authority to “take appropriate measures to respond” to this case.

The panel of judges of the Leninsky District Court of Kharkov, which considered the case of ex-mayor of Slavyansk Nelya Shtepa, also complained of pressure from the Kharkov prosecutor’s office. Judges Viktor Viktorov, Vitaly Bondarenko and Alexandra Grimchuk report that criminal proceedings were opened against them under Article 375 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (making a knowingly unjust decision). True, so far the security forces have not carried out investigative actions or announced suspicions to them. The judges consider the actions of the prosecutor's office to be interference in the process and associate this chaos with the change in the preventive measure against Shtepe.

On January 15, 2018, a court hearing took place in the case of Golovachev, Pigorev, Kalugin. One of the eyewitnesses describes the meeting this way: “The young creatures came and shouted “glory to Ukraine, death to the enemies,” to which the judges asked a reasonable question: “Can we start work?” Threats throughout the meeting, accusations of judges of “releasing separatists for pennies.”

In the Kharkov district court of the Kharkov region, sessions are continuing to consider a fabricated criminal case against the first secretary of the Kharkov regional committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine Alla Alexandrovskaya.

“I don’t know who these guys are. They don’t know Alla Alexandrovna. She doesn't know them either. Naturally, when they began to be questioned in court, they were completely confused in their testimony, could not give dates or confirm any facts. It was clear that the testimony was far-fetched. Accordingly, representatives of the OSCE, the UN, and the judge were shocked. And those present laughed at this testimony, because it was really funny. The guys do not understand what they are saying and cannot answer directly posed questions. The prosecutor was infuriated by all this: he seemed to look pale with this whole company. And in the hall they react mockingly and indignantly to this. And when the meeting was already ending, prosecutor Ivan Slyusar said: “Since you behave like this, I will bring Aidar to the next court hearing.” Let's see how you behave then." And representatives of the OSCE and the UN heard all this,” says the son of the accused, Alexander Alexandrovsky.

In this regard, Alla Alexandrovskaya sent a statement to the administration of the President of Ukraine, in which she informs about the legal chaos and the threat to her life and health and demands that a check be carried out on the facts she stated, to prevent violations of public order and pressure on the court.

And such things continue day after day. I wouldn’t be surprised if the judge or witness is assigned security from among those who threaten them.
