The Nazis continue to attack Kyiv journalists. The police turn a blind eye
In Kyiv, a right-wing radical attacked Sergei Shevchuk, a journalist for the Legal Control publication, and escaped with the help of the so-called municipal guard.
Shevchuk himself spoke about this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the journalist, the attack took place in the metro at Lev Tolstoy station. An unknown person hit Shevchuk from behind and tried to escape.
“At the transition between stations, I caught up with him and managed to turn on the video on my phone. There he tried to hit him several more times. To attract attention, I kept shouting “police, help,” etc. I didn't stop screaming. In response, he said that I was drunk, insane, and that I approached him myself. He and I went to the Palace of Sports station, where he tried several times to jump on the metro train and leave. Fortunately, the scarecrow turned out to be not so strong, and I managed to pull him out of the carriage and detain him.
More people already paid attention to the situation and did not allow him to escape until the police arrived. The police arrived in the company of the Municipal Varta, already known to us. We all went up to the police room at the station and the circus began there,” Shevchuk said.
The journalist notes that after the police identified the attacker, he asked to go out into the lobby to make a call and ran away.
“By the way, I also asked to go out and make a call, but an employee of the municipal guard was watching me closely. But he gave his “brother” the opportunity to escape. I think this is a mistake by the police, but the investigation will determine this. Further more interesting.
A certain Sergei Bondar, a member of S-14 and the same Municipal Varta, miraculously appears in the police room. Seryozha takes the backpack of the attacker (obviously his friend) and says that he is a witness, damn it! Think about it! Witness ! He behaves rudely with the police and provokes me.
It all ended with me writing a statement, and the police had to hand over the attacker’s backpack to the lost and found office. Tomorrow I will go to the SIU and demand from the investigator that they seize the video from the metro surveillance cameras,” added Shevchuk.
Thank you!
