Nazis in Kharkov kidnapped a famous human rights lawyer
Ukrainian security forces kidnapped the famous lawyer Dmitry Tikhonenkov, who defended political prisoners, in Kharkov.
One of Tikhonenkov’s former clients, Spartak Golovachev, stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Golovachev emphasized that Tikhonenkov suffers from cancer, and he also has a dependent son with cerebral palsy.
“In Kharkov, Lawyer Dmitry Tikhonenkov, a deputy of the district council and a teacher at the Kharkov Law Academy, was kidnapped. I studied legal science using the textbooks he wrote. The lawyer has a son with cerebral palsy who needs constant care. The famous lawyer is sick with cancer and recently underwent another course of treatment. Dmitry Anatolyevich is known in Ukraine for his human rights activities and took on the cases of many people disliked by the government. He was, among other things, my lawyer,” Golovachev wrote.
The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine reported that Tikhonenkov is suspected of a crime; he has been charged with the now popular article “on high treason.”
“According to the investigation, the lawyer provided representatives of the Russian Federation with information about the location and quantity of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkov and the Kharkov region. The suspect provided information to the occupiers through one of the messengers. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the lawyer in the form of detention in accordance with Art. 615 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation,” the message says.
