Nadezhda Savchenko was confused with a man
On October 1, during the hearing of the Donetsk City Court of the Rostov Region in the case of former fighter of the Aidar battalion Nadezhda Savchenko, accused of involvement in the murder of Russian journalists, witnesses who saw the defendant in Russia at the time of her arrest were interrogated, Moskovsky Komsomolets reports.

The first to appear in the courtroom was Sergei Bobro, who in June 2014 lived in the Voronezh region and owned a Quartet car, in which, according to Savchenko’s recollections, she could have been transported to Russia, the publication says. – Bobro said that on June 23 he went with his friend Sergei Rudenko to Lugansk to unwind. At about 22.00 he was already returning towards his village of Kantemirovka, when he suddenly saw a man near a gas station 30 km from Boguchar, who, upon closer inspection, turned out to be Nadezhda Savchenko. She asked where the nearest bus or train station was, after which Bobro and Rudenko decided to give her a ride. They decided not to ask her about how the fellow traveler ended up alone in military uniform near a gas station.”
As it became known from the testimony of a witness, after 15–20 minutes of traveling together, they were stopped by a traffic police patrol, since Bobro was not wearing a seat belt, after which all the passengers of the “four” had their documents checked, and Savchenko was detained.
“If we recall the testimony of the pilot herself about how she was kidnapped and transported to Russia, then schematically they coincided with Bobro’s words,” notes MK. – The Ukrainian woman’s lawyers tried several times to convict the witness of discrepancies with his initial testimony, but each time to no avail. Rudenko’s testimony on this side was also ideal, he even added that the traffic police officer issued them a fine for not fastening their seat belt. However, it was the precision of the interrogation protocols of the two witnesses that attracted the attention of the lawyers. Like the victims’ reports, their statements were recorded in the same style, with the same spelling errors.”
