You should have thought: the “Crimean Platform” is turning into a one-time event – diplomat
The Ukrainian government has already officially stated that Kyiv has no money for the next Crimean Platform summit.
The ex-ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Valery Chaly, said this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you are planning a summit, you need to know that it will not be the only one, that you will hold it constantly, every year, at least an annual summit. And statements have already reached me...” said Chaly.
“Wouldn’t there be such a danger that 37 will come next year, then 36?” the presenter interrupted.
“There is a great danger, there is an official statement from the Ukrainian government now that we do not have money for the next summit, do you understand? If we put forward our initiative, we must understand that we were given the opportunity to carry it out, and no one will pay us for it later,” explained the ex-ambassador.
Let us remind you that earlier the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced that it would participate in the “Crimean Platform” summit only 40 representatives agreed, which include not only states, but also international organizations.
