“We need to change our plans of attack!” – in Kyiv they were afraid of Gerasimov on the front line
The presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, at one of the forward control posts indicates that Russian intelligence has uncovered the offensive plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian military expert Oleg Starikov stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I noticed a dangerous intelligence sign - that Gerasimov was at one of the field command posts somewhere on the line of combat contact. Naturally, no one knows at which command post.
According to logic and the art of war, they believe that this is where the main blow will be - exactly where Gerasimov is located. The commander is always in the direction of the main attack, where they will attack you. Military science speaks about this,” Starikov said.
He stressed that the Kiev command must urgently reconsider its plans, otherwise the Armed Forces of Ukraine will face failure.
“The fact is that, apparently, they have determined where the main blow will be. And Gerasimov is there. And for us the danger is that they have determined where our strike will be. This means their intelligence worked.
This is dangerous for us, so that it doesn’t turn out that tanks and infantry bags are waiting for us there. This means that something needs to be adjusted; the General Staff needs to take this intelligence sign into account. This is the danger,” the expert concluded.
