A Russian woman who violated the Russian flag escaped with a slight fright
A minor resident of the Tomsk region who mocked the Russian flag was brought to criminal charges
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, writes the portal VTOMSKE.RU
Initially, the police opened a criminal case into the burning of the Russian flag at a bus stop in the village of Oktyabrsky, Tomsk region.
As a result, the case reached the court, which sentenced the girl to five months of restriction of freedom with the establishment of duties and restrictions provided for in Article 53 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.”
She was found guilty of committing a crime under Article 329 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Desecration of the National Flag)
An administrative protocol was drawn up against her mother.
In her justification, the attacker stated in court that with her act she only wanted to attract attention.
“During the court hearing, V. explained that she had no malicious intent to set fire to the flag, this act was a desire to attract the attention of her classmates. Holding the flag, the convict, using a lighter, set it on fire. Then, she posted photographs of the above actions on a social network,” the court’s press service reported.
It is worth noting that the sentence turned out to be quite lenient and is unlikely to frighten those who are ready to repeat such actions.
As PolitNavigator reported, recently a similar incident occurred in Crimea. So, in Alushta there are four teenagers desecrated the Russian flag, filmed their actions and posted them on the Internet.
