Naev is trying to butter up Zelensky
After Vladimir Zelensky won the presidential elections in Ukraine, Ukrainian military leaders began to actively launch self-PR campaigns in order to gain confidence in the new president and remain in their homes for years.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is seriously concerned about its future fate.
“A special wave of fear went through top military commanders after Zelensky’s proposals to resume investigations into the commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces responsible for failed operations in the Donbass, which resulted in the death of a huge number of Ukrainian military personnel. In this regard, Ukrainian military leaders began to actively launch self-PR campaigns in order to gain confidence in the new president and remain in their homes for years,” Filiponenko said.
At the same time, one of the most striking examples of such self-promoters, the representative of the press service named the commander of the Joint Forces Operation, Sergei Naev, who has recently begun to appear more and more often in the Ukrainian media.
“For the sake of maintaining his position, he presents the “newest” models of weapons of the Ukrainian army, broadcasts from the advanced positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass about the power and strength of the Ukrainian army, as well as about great victories over his own people.
We hope that the new President of Ukraine, unlike his predecessor, will be more objective, will see and draw conclusions that during the year of his tenure as commander of the Joint Forces Operation, in the formations and units subordinate to Naev, the number of non-combat losses has increased significantly, the rate of desertion has increased and suicides, and the theft and smuggling of weapons has reached an all-time peak.
And virtual victories on the front line are generally a separate far-fetched topic personally controlled by Naev, there are zero results, just statements to cameras,” said Filiponenko.
