For NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, the Russian Federation is an unacceptable country for conducting negotiations with OJSC Gazprom.

This is stated in a message from the Ukrainian company.
“Naftogaz has consistently adhered to this position since 2014, both in correspondence and during official meetings with representatives of the Russian company,” the statement said.
“At the same time, Naftogaz has repeatedly confirmed its readiness to hold negotiations in Brussels or in another EU city,” the company reports.
A message from the Ukrainian company on Facebook clarifies that “Gazprom managers, through the media, invited Naftogaz to negotiations on extending transit after 2019.”
Let us recall that on May 31, Naftogaz announced that the Stockholm Arbitration Court rejected Gazprom’s demands regarding the “take or pay” principle. The arbitration also satisfied the demands of the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine to revise the price of gas in the contract with Gazprom and lifted the ban on gas re-export.
In turn, Gazprom called the arbitration decisions interim and called for waiting for the final verdict at the end of June.
