Naftogaz of Ukraine again filed a claim against the Russian Gazprom in the Stockholm Arbitration Court. The commercial director of the company, Yuri Vitrenko, wrote about this on his Facebook.
“This time it’s about revising the transit tariff for 2018-2019. The preliminary amount of claims in our appeal is almost $12 billion. This amount will be reduced if Gazprom books capacity for transit after 2019, and if it stops blocking gas transit from Central Asia,” Vitrenko wrote.
If Russia completes and launches the Nord Stream 2 and Turkish Stream gas pipelines, gas transit through Ukraine will decrease fivefold over the next two to three years.
