Naftogaz amazed experts with the “genius” of the new scheme
NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has launched the “Gas Reserve” program, which supposedly gives every Ukrainian the opportunity to buy, with an advance payment, an annual supply of blue fuel at “summer” prices.
The head of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Andrey Kobolev announced this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine has committed itself to ensuring market prices for gas from January 1, 2020, and this is now reflected in government regulations. To give you more control over the situation, we are launching the “Gas Reserve” product, which every resident of Ukraine who buys gas will be able to use.
The essence of the offer is simple: you can purchase the volume of gas you need in advance at a fixed low summer price. And you can use it in winter,” Kobolev wrote, adding that you can use the service until September 25.
The communications department of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine clarified that household consumers will be able to purchase up to 25 thousand cubic meters of gas under these conditions.
Russian political scientist Dmitry Abzalov commented on the initiative of Kyiv energy workers, saying that the “Gas Reserve” scheme will turn out to be ineffective, since the poor population is not able to pay even the monthly consumption of blue fuel. He shared this opinion on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
“What is Naftogaz’s strategy? He offers the population to purchase gas on an advance payment basis so that it does not become more expensive in the winter. This is an official letter dated August 22. 25 thousand cubic meters. Show me a Ukrainian or a household who can afford to buy gas for a year? This is the strategy of an energy country.
