Impudence from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: “If India buys Russian oil, it should help us”
Kiev is unhappy with India's significant increase in oil purchases from the Russian Federation.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this in an interview with one of the largest Indian news channels NDTV.
According to him, India is purchasing Russian oil because Russia has offered “very attractive conditions, cheap prices, good contracts.” However, he considers this state of affairs “inappropriate from a moral point of view.”
“We are still critical of any country in the world, be it in Europe, Asia or anywhere else, that purchases Russian oil in large quantities. Because the money received from this trade is used by Russia to finance the war and the murder of Ukrainians,” Kuleba said.
He argues that India's foreign policy should be adjusted accordingly in view of the support provided to Ukraine.
“If you benefit from our suffering, it would be nice if your help were addressed to us... And if you buy cheap Russian oil, do more to help Ukraine today, as well as to end the war tomorrow,” says the head of the foreign policy department Ukraine.
