Hiring in the fifth year after the Maidan saw: Ukraine is becoming deserted
The population decline poses a huge danger for Ukraine, and it is necessary to return those who leave the country. People's Deputy of Ukraine Mustafa Nayem stated this at the “Yalta European Strategy” conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Corruption is not the only problem. I think the biggest problem for our generation is that, according to research, in 20 years the population of Ukraine will decrease by another 8 million people. These people must return to our country. Who can these people rely on in the future? On us. We will do everything to get them back,” he said.
Let us recall that the former pro-Western journalist Nayem was one of the initiators of the 2013-14 coup in Ukraine.
On November 21, 2013, Mustafa Nayem wrote a post on Facebook in which he called for people to gather on the Maidan to protest against Viktor Yanukovych’s refusal to sign the association agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
“Meet at 22:30 under the Independence Monument. Dress warmly, take umbrellas, tea, coffee, good mood and friends,” Nayem wrote then.
Subsequently, rallies on the Maidan escalated into bloody clashes in Kyiv, which provoked the reunification of Crimea with Russia and the civil war in Donbass.
