This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by Andrey Boychuk, an expert in the oil and gas industry, chairman of the corps of “defenders of the Revolution of Dignity,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Own gas production in Ukraine is profitable already at a price of UAH 1000, Naftogaz is now buying it from the controlled Ukrgasdobycha for UAH 4860 and selling it to thermal companies at a premium. In whose pocket does the difference between the cost price and the purchase price go? Maybe some dividends are paid, the army is financed? Can we hear any numbers? Not a penny goes anywhere. It goes to the own needs of Naftogaz.
At the same time, before the rise in gas prices, it was purchased for 2600 UAH, and this was entirely enough to cover all costs. The increase in the price of gas is absolutely artificial. Only due to him for six months, profits increased by 50 billion hryvnia.
Who do you think pays these 50 billion UAH? Population of Ukraine, people. Who and why is leading to a crisis, non-payments, and the need for subsidies? Where is the decision-making center of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine located? We don’t see him, he is outside the borders of Ukraine. Do you know that Naftogaz plans to further increase the price of gas? This is expressly provided for in the company's financial plan. Are we planning an energy famine?” the expert said.
